Two D. C. Taylor Co. Employees Become RoofPoint Registered Professionals
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (March 3, 2014) – D. C. Taylor Co. is excited to announce that two of its employees have successfully completed the requirements of the RoofPointCM Registered Professional program. D. C. Taylor Co. was one of only four roofing contractors to have professionals achieve this accomplishment.
Developed by the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing, the RoofPoint Registered Professional program is intended to develop a group of experienced professionals representing all key roofing statekholders who have demonstrated competency in the application of the RoofPoint Guideline for Innovation in Nonresidential Roofing to evaluate individual roofing projects. RoofPoint Registered Professionals may provide services to building owners, facility managers, and other building designers interested in achieving RoofPoint designation for roofing projects.
As RoofPoint Registered Professionals (RRPs), Todd M. Kaska and Greg Thirnbeck, both of whom hold the title of Senior Vice President Technical Services at D. C. Taylor Co., look forward to helping customers make roofing decisions to fulfill their corporate sustainability goals.
“RoofPoint Registered Professionals represent a dedicated group of professionals in the roofing industry who make critical contributions everyday to sustainable construction and whose work helps to showcase the critical role roofs play in mitigating the impact buildings have on our environment,” said Center President Craig Silvertooth.
RoofPointCM is a voluntary, consensus-based green rating system developed by the Center for Environmental Innovation in Roofing to provide a means for roofing contractors, building owners, and designers to select roof systems based on long-term energy and environmental benefits. RoofPoint Registered Projects demonstrate roofing excellence in several key categories, including energy, materials, water, life cycle, and durability management.
