Drone Survey & Thermal Scan

When Surveying Your Roof is Necessary, but Difficult

Whether your roof is steeply sloped, difficult to access, or has deteriorated decking that makes foot traffic risky, D. C. Taylor Co. can use advanced drone technology to inspect it thoroughly without the need for extensive fall protection systems or costly lift equipment. Our team stays safely on the ground while a drone captures detailed data from above, reducing risk, minimizing disruption, and accelerating the inspection process.

DRONE SURVEY

Equipped with a 4K camera, our drone delivers imagery that allows us to:

  • Accurately measure roof areas.
  • Inventory penetrations, drains, HVAC units, skylights, and other roof components.
  • Identify ponding water, failing flashings, membrane tears, and visible storm damage.

THERMAL SCAN

Surface damage is only part of the story. With infrared thermography, D. C. Taylor Co. can detect thermal anomalies – areas that emit more heat than surrounding surfaces. These temperature variations often indicate trapped moisture beneath the membrane.

Our thermal scans are especially valuable when:

  • You suspect hidden wet insulation.
  • You need targeted insulation replacement.
  • Leak sources are difficult to identify.
  • Traditional water leak testing is impractical.

Not all drone roof services are created equal.

At D. C. Taylor Co., your roof is inspected by a licensed FAA Part 107 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) pilot – not a hobbyist. We secure required airspace approvals through LAANC when necessary and operate only in safe weather conditions to ensure reliable data collection.
