Safety is everyone's job at D. C. Taylor Co. Our safety program is more than the OSHA manual. Safety is a crucial part of our culture that is practiced every day, on every job. We plan for the potential of falls, and we employ safety measures to prevent them. We have also developed processes that promote safe and ergonomically sound work practices to prevent injuries and promote excellent work. Our efforts help us maintain a safe environment for our crews, as well as your employees, property, and customers.

Formal safety program
- Employees at all levels participate in the development and implementation of D. C. Taylor Co. safety programs.
- A dedicated safety director and regional safety managers ensure that procedures are followed and projects are completed safely.
- All crews are tested for illegal substances prior to being hired.
- Written fall protection plan for every job clearly establishes and defines safety setup before the project begins.
- A site-specific job hazard analysis identifies existing/potential hazards and outlines countermeasures to overcome each of them.
- The company's safety loss control manual is a comprehensive guide covering
D. C. Taylor Co.'s safety policies. - Crews receive ongoing training to keep safety top of mind.
- A written zero-tolerance safety policy enforces safety rules and outlines disciplinary consequences.
Jobsite safety surveys
The D. C. Taylor Co. corporate safety director is actively involved in the planning, implementation, and enforcement of safety processes, practices, and procedures. He personally conducts on-site safety surveys and hazard assessments. D. C. Taylor Co. Project Managers are required to perform weekly inspections of their jobs. Additionally, the company contracts with its insurance companies to perform safety inspections and to suggest ergonomically sound work practices. These multiple safety checkpoints provide an extra measure of protection for you and your company.

Hazardous Waste Minimization and Management Program
D. C. Taylor Co., in conjunction with Howard R. Green Engineering Co. and the National Roofing Contractors Association, has developed the Hazardous Waste Minimization and Management Program (HWMMP) to assist roofing contractors with regulatory compliance applicable to the hazardous waste generated from roofing projects.
