Grill maker captures the sun to illuminate work areas and reduce energy costs.

Problem
Holstein Manufacturing was experiencing roof leaks and high energy costs at their facility. D. C. Taylor Co. performed a roof investigation that revealed limited amounts of insulation, aging metal roof panels, and the need for more lighting within the facility over work stations.

The metal roof on Holstein Manufacturing's facility didn't provide adequate insulation and was leaking water during heavy rains.

Solution
D. C. Taylor Co. took a wide angle approach and realized a new roofing system could solve several problems at this facility. By recommending a mechanically fastened flute fill roofing system covered by single ply membrane, we were able to stop roof leaks and add an extra layer of insulation over the entire building. To add more light inside the building, we also installed eight daylighting units that track the sun automatically. This unique system directs light and energy where it is needed most, improving worker visibility and morale. D. C. Taylor Co. was chosen based on their unique roofing solution and complete project plan.

D. C. Taylor Co. added a layer of insulation over the metal roof utilizing a flute fill system. This extra insulation provides reduced energy consumption and a more consistent interior work environment – regardless of external conditions.
The installed Ciralight system provides a safer, more productive work environment and contributes to the overall reduction of energy bills.
