JOB SUMMARY:

A D. C. Taylor Co. roofer is involved in all aspects of the roofing trade, from tear-off to repair and maintenance. Primary roofing systems installed include TPO, PVC, mod-bit and EPDM. A roofer installs roof-related sheet metal including gutters and downspouts, gravel stop, drip edge, gable trim, and copings. A roofer can eventually supervise small teams on the project.

Foreman

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in roofing and/or construction; prior experience working on a job that travels long periods of time preferred.

  • Must be trustworthy and able to work for periods unsupervised. Must demonstrate teamwork and willingness to get along with others. Must show a desire to learn, and be a self-starter. Must be able to travel consistently.

  • Valid state motor vehicle license preferred.

  • Able to meet physical demands required of this job.

 

TIME REQUIRED:

  • The work schedule is varied; beginning work very early in the day, and sometimes working until late in the day. Roofing work is performed at the customers facility. Potential conflicts with plant operations may make it necessary to work at night or on weekends. May require extensive travel.
