SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Identify and develop new prospect
opportunities and develop relationships with existing clients to increase
service and contract roofing sales.
REPORTS TO:
Primary:
Vice president of business
development and assigned regional sales manager
Secondary: Other business units and offices as required
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Work in conjunction with the
sales team to develop long-term business relationships with new and existing
clients.

Identify, interview and qualify
prospects, via telephone, e-mail and mail.

Follow-up on leads and referrals
from sales team.

Assist in the development of
advertising programs and educational seminars.

Willing to learn and effectively
communicate roofing terminology, techniques and general construction
terminology (does not require performing roofing activities).

Other office duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
-
College degree or equivalent
with applicable work experience, emphasis in marketing/sales.

Two or more years
(internships/summers included) experience in developing and maintaining
customer relationships and/or a strong tradework-related aptitude or
background.

Computer literate in
Microsoft Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new software such as
RoofLogic, CRM, MSD, RoofCad, etc.

Knowledge of business
English, spelling, arithmetic and written and verbal communications.

Understanding of core
marketing and selling principles.

Internally motivated and driven;
able to present, persuade and negotiate, and rebound from rejection and move
on to the next opportunity.

Able to work independently, as
well as with internal and external teams.
-
Able to keyboard at least
40 words per minute.
